RED SEA MOMENTS

Ever had a “Red Sea” moment?  A “Red Sea” moment is when you have your back against a seeming devastation, all the while facing an aggressive force that desires to bring much damage to you.  After reading the story of the Israelites and Moses during their exodus from Egypt, I realized something…God led them there! That’s right… Did God make a mistake or did God have a purpose behind that crisis situation?

He obviously had a plan. But it’s in the process of that plan that He does His greatest work!  The Israelites aggressively informed Moses that he and God made a big mistake.  It’s crazy how when we are facing our “Red Sea” moments, critics will come out of the woodwork.  Our very own thoughts begin to doubt the deliverance power of God! We become our own Israelites!

The truth is that God will always lead us to a place where we have nowhere to go but to Him.  And honestly, during these times, it’s often the last place our flesh desires to be. We all want miracles but we never desire to be at a place that will necessitate a miracle.  It takes “Red Sea” moments in order for that to happen.

I’m in the middle of one of those right now… but I know the Lord will do what He does best… He will always work it out if I allow Him to work in me.

Are you facing a Red Sea moment?  Please share.

After reading your blog Pastor, I truly believe I have been in the “Red Sea” moment for a couple of months now. I have just been trying my best to allow God to do HIS will in me. I wake up daily asking for the strength to continue to stand in faith knowing that HIS plan is great and I must Wait on HIM. It has not been easy and doubt tries to sneek in constantly but I know that there is a God who loves me no matter my imperfections and has called me to be a conqueror. Thank you God for your Joy and Peace that gives me strength.

I think God lead the Israelites to the Red Sea so that they could see that their God is so powerful that He can take them out of any situation. I believe God does His greatest works in our greatest crisis, and is only when we a law to do whatever He wants to do is when His best work happens. God knows from the beginning to the end, nothing caught Him by surprise. So we just have to trust Him and believe in His love and power.
