Called an Audible!

It appears that this Sunday I’m calling an audible.  And for those that don’t understand what that means, allow me to explain.  “Calling an audible” is a sport term that means changing the play on the spot.

Our plan or “play” was to begin an in-depth series on Glossolalia, (speaking in tongues).  But I really felt to change the play… I’m going to use the next two weeks to teach on the purpose and meaning of  “church” and why it’s necessary for you to be a part of it.  We’ll save the study on speaking in tongues for later.

In my studies this week, I’m realizing more and more that we, as a people of God, we’re only operating and functioning on approximately 25% capacity.   When we fully understand the purpose of “ecclesia” which is the actual word for church in the New Testament, it’ll revolutionize our reactions and responses to God’s commands from His Word.

God’s word is revelation; therefore we need revelation in order to understand it. As a matter of fact, we won’t be able to actualized any of it without a Spirit led revelation.  I’m praying for all IC’ers; that you receive that Spirit of wisdom and revelation so that you may know Him (His Word) better (Eph 1:17).  We need to catch this!

In the last part of the message this Sunday, I will unveil our plans for this summer.  You can’t miss out.  This summer, we’ll be putting into practice all that we will learn these next few weeks!   How?  Below is the sneak preview graphic.  OH YEAH!!!!

This is a great message pastor. We have to learn the power of being in unity and what causes when the church gets together in one accord.
