Deception through Perception

After twenty-two years of ministry, I’ve come to recognize the enemy’s most popular tactic used for bringing confusion and death – Deception through perception.

Although I can write volumes about this subject, I’ll just share a few thoughts, after all this is only a blog.

We all should know that the only power the enemy has is deception.  He (the demonic kingdom) is a liar – the father of all lies (John 8:44).   His priority is to divide, disconnect, separate and break up.  And this is done with the veil of deception.

Deception, at its finest, is MOSTLY truth.  And like a masterful magician during a card trick, deception draws your attention away from the lie by pointing you to the portion that is truth.  By doing this, it “deceives” you and makes you swallow the lie along with the truth.  Gotcha!

Deception is the “little yeast in the batch” (Galatians 5:9).  It’s the little lie in the truth that makes everything a lie.  And this is best used through the faculty of our perception.

Deception through perception, when masterfully used, creates a scenario that appears to be what it’s not.  Magicians have leveraged this principle for centuries.  And the goal of deception through perception is to create a “reality in our minds.”  Once this is achieved, the enemy has won!  The lie has been swallowed.

What’s the cure? Where’s the solution?  Ahh… Glad you asked.

Deception though perception becomes powerless in our lives when we decide to PURSUE the truth.  We cannot allow our perception to be the last word.  We have to CONFRONT, INVESTIGATE, and pull out the facts that have been veiled by deception.  We must NOT allow our minds, which work through our insecurities, to be the channel of information.  We cannot allow our dislike for confrontation to prevent us from “going to the horse’s mouth.”  We must go to the source, even if it requires CONFLICT.

Deception through perception works much like being afraid after watching a horror movie.  The enemy gets his way because people allow deception though perception to create for them the Matrix – a false reality.  And it’s goal and purpose it to cause them to make wrong decisions that separates them from their true God-given purpose.

Very sad… but true…  I’m way past my limit…  More to be said…  Will save for later.

“One’s perception is one’s reality.” Advertisers, people in marketing, and individuals in all forms if media have known this basic principle for decades. So, the key is always to change one’s perception. And if one preserves them as deceived, that’ll be fixed too.

While I agree with the sentemement of the article, It’s subject (perception) is way to subjective.

When you watch movies they are not true
Because your life is not fiction it’s real we have to hear the word and let it come inside of us and it will take you to the next level.

We must be focus at all times in order to discern when we are bring deceived. We must always make the right decisions and not based them on our current circumstances.
    Good teaching.
