My New Take on Transition

It looks like we finally finished with the move of our offices and my home. Wow, this one was a tough one, but a good one as well!  I feel like I have a new take on the term “transition.”

Here’s my take on transition…  It’s not just a “Christianeese” term; it’s an ongoing process that occurs in the life of believers.  Growth requires transition.  Leading requires transition.  Following requires transition. Moving forward requires transition and, obviously, change requires transition.  The fact is that transition is supposed to be occurring on a regular and on a continuous basis in the life of a believer. He leads and we follow – this is how it works in our lives; and this is the process of growth, productivity and fulfillment

Now, although transition is continuous, there are times when it’s flat-out palpable. And these are usually times of MAJOR transitions. They’re not just spiritual or mental but physical as well.  These times are very vulnerable; setbacks await us if wrong moves are taken.

Honestly, this is where Victoria and I have been. And the crazy thing is that we’re not finished yet.  All I know is that the Lord is taking us to a place where there is no point of reference. We’ve truly have not passed this way before.”  I’ve never been more hungry and desirous to not just know His will but to do it as well! GOOD TIMES!!

“When you see the ark of the covenant of the LORD your God, and the priests, who are Levites, carrying it, you are to move out from your positions and follow it. 4 Then you will know which way to go, since you have never been this way before… (Joshua 3:3-4)

What are your recent transitions?

Transitioning is hard and scary but we have to make our move, we got to leave our place of comfort, God will take us to never imagined place but we have to do our part. Now I’m pretty sure that God want us to make our transition, want us to walk by faith … Because He will take us through the valley of shadows and death, remember through!!!!. He promise us that he never leave us not forsake us, he will always be with us.

Awesome word to read. I agree with you Pastor. At times transition is soooo fast for me that I get scared and at that point my decision becomes critical. It can either lead me to make the right decisions or the wrong ones. Regardless of which decision I make, the best part is when I am able to recognize if the decision I made (based on my transition), if it was really my will or God’s will.
Transition is a MUST and always good. No TRANSITION equals No MOMENTUM. Might as well be dead as a door knob.

Truly words of comfort as I too find myself in a place of God’s trsnsition. Being a person who likes order & control, I’ll be honest, the unknown scares the heck out of me. I’m allowing God to take the wheel now, my driving hasn’t gotten me very far. Pray for me as I pray for you, that we embrace the transitions.
