LYING DOWN ON MY BACK…
I’m writing to you today in an unfortunate position. I’m lying down on my back and trying not to move. Once in a while, my lower back goes out. Unfortunately, I’ve had that problem since I was a child. Apparently, I have a slight deformation of the 5th lumbar (called the L5 vertebrae) thus causing occasional slippage, which in turn, the pinching of nerves. Very painful! I’ve had that diagnosis since childhood. Although it troubled me on occasion during my athletic career, now that I’m reaching my middle age years, it seems to want to revisit more often.
In my athletic years, my teammates and me went to the chiropractor often. This was part of our training regiment. He would do a thorough investigation of our spinal cord and watch for possible slips of the vertebrae. Then he would align our vertebrae by twisting us like pretzels and snapping our vertebrae in their proper alignment. It was painful at times but it kept us from injury and in our full motion capacity.
My point is this… During this season of DIVINE ORDER, consider these three observations:
- The pain you are feeling is simply an alarm signaling that your alignment is out of order and you’re living in divine disorder.
- Your pain and disorder must take you to a place where you allow God to work on you. It will get worse, if you don’t “ let go” and “let God” do His work in you.
- Don’t be alarmed if the process to divine order will cause you to have to twist your life (like a pretzel) in order for you to achieve proper spiritual alignment. The road to divine order can be a twisted one… but be encouraged, the rewards are liberating!
Anxious to read your thoughts,
Pastor Manny
I just hope I don’t get that type of pain. And well my thoughts on pain is that pain is good and is a indicator that something is wrong is our body. Although we want to eliminate pain from our life, we can’t. So we most embrace pain and grow from it.
Pastor I hope you get better soon. I commented before the blog went down. I have always learned in school that pain is an indicator that something is wrong. That something needs to be changed. Stress… on the muscles is good…but when there is agonizing pain its a light telling you, hold up we need to get something straight here. Thank God for pain. Some may see it as a stumbling block, but really it’s an aid to help you fix the root problem and move forward.
Missed you at Church on Sunday. The anointing came with Bishop Isaka. Feel better soon!
Your messages on DIVINE ORDER have really come at the right time and has caused me to do some true self-examination of every area of my life…am working on getting things back in line and maintaining order.
So sorry to hear about your back but it sure did stimulate the creative juices to write this blog….something good can come out of every situation we find ourselves in….praying you’ll feel better soon.
Missed you on Sunday, it was a woderful time none the less, Rudy held down the Fort. Get well soon.
Very sorry to hear of this excruciating pain. I do know how you feel, have had the experience a few times myself. Looking forward to the shifts, changes and adjustments as we all strive to get our lives in better order. Sure does hurt though
Where at your job you are offered health insurance, with God we get health assurance! it doesn’t mean that we won’t ever need healing, but we know the one who can get us healed! – feeling pain is a good thing, as long as we go and get it taken care of!
its amazing to see that God loves us so much that he would shift the heavens and the earth to align your life the proper way.
I appreciate what Mario said earlier. We must embrace pain and strive to learn from it.
It would be really good though, if we could continuously remain in, and maintain spiritual alignment.
Unfortunately, we as humans are only finite beings. Without keeping our mind focused on Gods word, where I can follow his spiritual cloud, we would really lead complicated messed up lives.
Ps: keep on P raying.U ntil.S omething.H happens ing for Jesus Pastor. You lead and we’ll follow.
Glad you are feeling better. I am excited for the new direction the Lord is taking us.
I’m sorry your back was hurting. You were in my prayers. Hope you’re feeling 100% now.
