Your January Assignment

It appears that anything and everything that is of any value in the Kingdom of God has to be sought after.  God has a method of NOT easily placing anything on our laps.  There must to be a pursuit.  That is why He told us to ask, seek and knock after the keys of the Kingdom. The treasures of His Kingdom must be pursued and searched out.  I’m not sure why this is other than He knows that we will appreciate and value the things we seek and pursue than the things we attain with ease.

During this January of prayerfasting and pursuit we need to be a people who are desperately looking for direction and results. It would behoove us to focus our attention on Him… seek His face… and believe for a year of great favor in whatever He commissions us to do.

I woke up this morning thinking of Isaiah 45:3, “I will give you the treasures of darkness, riches stored in secret places, so that you may know that I am the LORD, the God of Israel, who summons you by name.”  Treasures out of darkness that are stored in secret places have to be pursued and sought after. Focus people, focus!

And also with Luke 11:9 – “So I say to you: Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you.” Let us not become weary and somnolent at searching and seeking out the great things He has already provided for us. We can do this! Focus people, focus!
