OFF-SITE… Pray for us…

We are at a season in our church where the steps we take must be very cautious.   I’m taking more time away this weekend to try to find some answers in the direction we are heading as a church.   All I know is that we need Jesus in our lives more than ever. We need his presence to be on everything we do.  It’s been an interesting year thus far for our church.  And to be honest, it’s been the hardest and harshest year of my 20-year career in ministry.

I’m doing my first official “off-site” (getaway) with our elders and pastors.  We are getting away for three days to pray, pray and pray. We desire to hear what God is saying to us. I guess we are unplugging to so we can plug into HIM. I’ve never been hungrier for directions and answers.  Please pray for us… that we hear what God is saying to us.  I just know that a great anointing will be released.

This is a much needed time to get in the presence of God in a secluded location and seek direction from the Lord for where MHC is heading. I pray that God reveals the direction we need to go in and that it is heard clearly exactly what needs to be done. Will continue to keep this in prayer…

I will definitely be praying for you guys. Direction from the lord is one of the most valuable things in life and we definitely need some. I can’t wait to see where we’re headed.

Prayer is a great way to look for answers. But it says in James 4:2-4 you want what you don’t have, so you scheme and kill to get it. You are jealous for what other have, and you can’t possess it, so you fight and quarrel to take it away from them. And yet the reason why you don’t have what you want is that you don’t ask god for it. and even when you do ask, you don’t get it because your whole motive is wrong-you want only what will give you pleasure, you adulterers! Don’t you realize that friendship with this world makes you an enemy of god? I say it again, that if your aim is to enjoy this world, you can’t be a friend of god.
I have been thinking about those verses all week and i really feel touched by what it says, and what it is saying is very powerful. And i also think it has to do with this situation we have right now with the church. So I’ll keep the church in prayer.

Pastors & elders, you can be assured of my continued prayers as you spend those three days seeking God for the direction of our Church.

Proverbs 2:1-5 says “My son, if you accept my words and store up my commands within you, turning your ear to wisdom and applying your heart to understanding, AND IF YOU CALL OUT FOR INSIGHT AND CRY ALOUD FOR UNDERSTANDING, and if you look for it as for silver and search for it as for hidden treasure, then you will understand the fear of the Lord and find the knowledge of God.”

I pray you are able to reach the heavens with your prayers and that not only you but all of us at MHC seek His presence more than ever. May we get revelation in heart, mind, and spirit of who our God really is and who we are in Him–give us direction and guide our path.
