FOCUS in 2011

I usually take the whole month of January to take an audit of my life and my role in the Kingdom of God.  As I said yesterday, I love the month of January!  It’s a time of changes and new beginnings.  Try to find some quality time to brainstorm some thoughts about last year and to formulate a plan for the next eleven months.  It’ll be beneficial for you to focus and I’m sure you’ll be pleased with your results.

This year must be a year of focus. To focus is to take the INITIATIVE and to commence the plan and purpose of God in your life.  I love to meditate on focus… Here are some thoughts about focus:

  • Focus is not easy to achieve.
  • Focus, in order to be productive, must be static.  It must be constant. It must be unchanging.
  • As soon as focus is broken we fail.  We enter into the arena of unfruitfulness and wastefulness.
  • You don’t need focus to live but you will require focus for living.
  • Anyone can exist; anyone can survive.  It doesn’t take much effort to take up space but it takes a FOCUS to realize productivity.
  • To focus is to have vision.
  • To focus is to converge, to come in unity with yourself, others and God.
  • To focus is to concentrate.
  • To focus is to meditate.
  • To focus is to meet, join, and unite.
  • Our focus must be personal and corporate.
  • To focus is to come under authority to the very one we are serving…God first and then each other.

So, this year is a year of focus; it’s a year to take the initiative!  Let’s not live for ourselves without direction, rather let’s live for the cause of the vision God has given us!

Hebrews 12:2 –  2 fixing our eyes on Jesus, the pioneer and perfecter of faith. For the joy set before him he endured the cross, scorning its shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.

We all need focus so we don’t get to the end of each year counting up all the things we could have done but didn’t because we didn’t have a clear plan. Focus will give us direction from the Spirit personally and corporately.

What a great blog. I know there are many times when I loose focus and I have to sit down and ask myself what was I doing. I pray that I do not loose focus of God this year indvidually and as a corporate body. May we put God first and everything else after.

The focus that we should have in the year 2011 is to reach out to this region and win people to Christ.

its inportant to not loose focus on what we are doing this year because if we are not focus we won’t make it to the kingdom of God.

Good points. I am one that takes a little longer in the meditation process. I always start the last week of the year to reflect in all the things that were not done. I am praying that this year will be a year of staying focus and on task. I want to accomplish the purpose that God has for me.

I believe in making plans, I am a good initiator, but I’m not good in finishing. I can be persistent but I fail because of laziness. This year I attempting to fulfill with my goals of this new year.

Focus is very important to have especially with so much things going on in life and ministry. Losing focus is very frustrating for me. Focus is something that I work on daily and am striving to get better at as time goes on.
