The Three Stages of Influence
We strategically prayed this morning over our IMPACT INITIATIVE vision. As I wrote yesterday, my passion and prayer is that the word spoken and direction given last Sunday not fall to the ground. The goal of leadership is influence. And influence has three stages:
- Motivation
- Inspiration
- Impartation.
The initial goal of any leader is motivation. A leader sets forth vision and direction and carries the responsibility for people to follow them. And without leveraging motivation failure is imminent.
Motivation is the clear communication of giving people the reason to act. It’s giving people an incentive to do. In order to motivate there must be a clear and precise communication of vision with encouragement. Although this is complex to accomplish in people, it’s only the first stage of influence. Studies have proven that motivation only last 72 hours. That is why we must take our leadership to the next level…inspiration. And this one will require our effort along with God’s involvement– more on that tomorrow.
Be a motivator. Encourage someone today. Don’t wait for someone to encourage you! Go ahead…clearly communicate the incentive we have in serving the vision God has given us through Impact Church.
Blog entry #11 – Motivated to Lead.
Well its good to stay motivated and tell people that we here for them and to be a inspiration to the community. if we want to preach to the nations we have to impart and be ready for ride.
All of us need motivation and inspiration- from pastors to new believers. You never know what good you can do for someone just by saying a few words of encouragement.
We most motivate and motivate people until the Holy Spirit inspire them. When that takes place has to be the greatest feeling for a leader and for this year I want to disciple and impact people.
Well its good to stay motivated because it helps us speak to people about God and invite them to join us at impact church. It helps us go out to different regions to share the gospel with them and we just have to be ready for the challenge.
We must get out of our box and comfort zone and start reaching others. The best feeling is encouraging someone when you are going through your troubles. Be a blessing to others, sometimes all it takes is a smile or kind word. I want to be that an Encourager. Good blog.
Well its a good Pastor we need to be motivated if we want to talk to people about the lord. we need to have inspiration if we are going to lead anybody to the lord and if we don’t impart the words that we say they will fall short.
There is always someone to motivate out there. We cant wait to be motivated by others before motivating others. We need to initiate it and help keep others motivate it as much as we can. God does the rest.
