Redeemed Memories
These January days are reflection times for me. It been researched that 99% of life’s ’experiences withdraw into our subconscious, but only 1% makes it into our conscious memory. And it’s in those very moments that we define ourselves. They could be positive or negative, happy or sad; regardless it’s in memory of those moments that we are who we are today.
Hindsight is a very powerful tool for those who desire to move forward. Looking back is only wrong if you bury yourself in regret. Hindsight allows us to identify and meditate on our past processes. When we look back we can realize that every occurrence was a preparation for future opportunities.
Our past is redeemed when we are able to view it through God’s eyes. And when we properly look back, we should be able to see God’s fingerprints on those moments. Our key to connecting to our destiny is not in front of us, rather in our redeemed memories.
Blog entry #12 – Redeeming my memories!
I agree with you pastor sometimes its good to go back and think about the past but we cant do it all the time because we will lose focus and God wants us to stay focus to see the past through his eyes.
When I look back it is to see where I went wrong and strive not to go back. I am grateful that through it all I can really say that God was there. Sometimes he must allow us to go through things to obtain the knowledge and wisdom to fulfill our destiny. My prayer is that I continue to be on the right path.
I understand what you mean Pastor we need to go forward and don’t hang on to the past. I know that we can go back and see what we did and change it so we can live a better life.
It’s like the saying “You have to know where you came from to know where you’re going”. I’ve made the mistake of not recalling the past and casting it away because it was a bad memory. It’s when I found myself making the same mistake again I wondered why I could not prevent it. I agree that it is very important for our futures to redeem memories from the past
Hindsight is very important and useful when we use it the right way. When we remember old memories or fail, it can help us recognize that times and we can analyze our lives, so we can choose the right decision. Hindsight will always be a major key to improvement.
There have been many mistakes I made in the past that I rather not remember but now that I think of these things, I see what I got delivered from. Thanks to these mistakes I have averted making them again in different situations that have come by recently. I also remember the good times of life that never leave my memory. Hindsight is cool.
