OUR GREATEST CHALLENGE

We started a new message series yesterday, “HE LOVES ME – HE LOVES ME NOT. The reason why I named it that way is because of our understanding of God’s love for us.  Unfortunately, our understanding of it is as bad as a coin toss.  Churches are filled with people who still think God is mad at them. The more I attempt to wrap my mind around the grace of God toward us, the more I discover that the motivation behind His grace is simply pure LOVE for us!

I will submit that our greatest challenge as human beings is the discovery of this truth. Salvation is not attained without it and the ability to work out that very salvation is contingent on it.  How we act, perform and live out our lives in God’s Kingdom is determined by the understanding of Gods’ grace and love for us.

In the message series, I explain the difference between Peter and John before the Day of Pentecost.  How one operated in grace and the other under the law…how one had a revelation of love and the other of performance. If truth be known, we are either a Peter or a John.  Which one are you?

Our team should have the podcast and video uploaded by Wednesday.  I gave them the day off today.  They came from a seven-day workweek last week.  And the older I’m getting the more I’m understanding what REST really is.

Yes Pastor, you all work very hard and need to rest.

Your message was great, I have never seen the lives of John and Peter in that way. I am not able to say which I am because being human and can at times be either oe. I pray that on the day I stand before my father He can say that I was more of a John. Continue to teach us.

I agree, understanding the love of God for us is key. We have to recognize that He created us the way we are for a reason, and that is the way He loves us. What I’m trying to say is that we don’t have to perform or do stuff that in our mind qualify us to be love by God. In the contrary God loves us because of who we are and so we don’t have to perform but be who we are in the presence of God.

It was a awsome message and we need to be like the Lord and love one another. because the Lord is showing us that we need to be like him and show others that we are here for them.

HE loves me! All my life I have loved, and been hurt and abandoned
so many times I have lost count. But this was pain from the flesh.
To all young people this was because of the choices I had made.
It took me many years to learn what true love is!! It is GOD’S
love. Truly love HIM and let HIM love you. That all he wants from
    us.
