Go Ahead…CRY!

These last few days I’ve been studying paradoxes throughout the Bible.  We’ll be teaching a four-part series on paradoxes in the months to come.  Can’t wait!

I love how paradoxes work in the Kingdom.  When engaged, paradoxes cause us to flow in God’s river and not the worlds’ canals. Paradoxes teach us and cause us to keep focused on Kingdom direction and not our own.

This morning I read a bit about how sorrow produces all kinds of good things. Got to love that paradox!  Godly sorrow is not feeling sorry about our lives; it’s actually the opposite.  Godly sorrow is birthed out of true repentance.  Check it out…

10 Godly sorrow brings repentance that leads to salvation and leaves no regret, but worldly sorrow brings death. 11 See what this godly sorrow has produced in you: what earnestness, what eagerness to clear yourselves, what indignation, what alarm, what longing, what concern, what readiness to see justice done…. (2 Corinthians 7:10-11)

The way I se it, Godly sorrow seems to produce the very things we need to keep our focus and determination on our calling.  Nope, we don’t need a motivational speaker, consultant, counselor or shrink.  All we need to true Godly sorrow to keep us on target.

This sorrow will bring us to a place of productivity.  So go ahead… CRY!  Yes, I said it… CRY!!  Cry out in sorrow!  Cry out and repent of anything in your life that’s stopping you from being like Christ!  Weep mourn and wail!  It’s really good for you!   It’ll produce in you what you really need to make a difference!

When i got home, i went straight to my room n locked d door. I knelt down beside my bed and started to cry, i think i cried for about an hour. As i did, i closed my eyes n all d mistakes i had made due to pressure n ignorance kept flashing tru my mind. At first I tort i had brought this on myself by committin my all into it and dat if i had know beta i would hav avoided the responsibility. I felt sori 4 myself 4 not being wise enough to do d right tins. Then i remembered David n how God picked him even though he knew the future mistakes he was to make. I looked at myself n recalled dat i was not d first choice n dat he picked me despite d odds dat wer against me. He knew dat i was goin 2 do all dat i did but guess wat he didn’t change his mind. I TOLD HIM i was sori n i felt great peace in my heart. HE IS WIT ME DATS ALL DAT MATTER, n we ar moving upward n forward.

Well Pastor we know that we don’t cry because its a emotion that its used when something happen in your life or somebody dies in your life. we have to learn to cry if we want to see changes in our lives.

We cry when our love ones die or when we are in his presence and we have to cry for some changes to happen in our lives.

Wow, now I see why a good cry brings so much peace afterward. It does make a difference. We must continue to Cry Out to God for his Kingdom to come to this region. Good word.
