Moments with my Daughter

Time is a precious commodity.  It’s the only resource God gives to us. And when leveraged, we can have access to many other resources. It’s in the management of time that life can be experienced to the fullest. The success of our fulfilled purpose is determined in the quality of its management.  And since time is always constant and never waits for us, the way it’s leveraged properly is by living it in MOMENTS not in minutes.

Life has a way of demanding our time.  Our education, careers and problems crave our time and place a large demand on it.  And rightly so, living an educated life, free of dysfunction (for the most part) and properly financed helps in the pursuit of success in our purpose.

For this reason, I am learning to discern the moments in life that I must leverage. When recognized, it’s vital that, when lived out, I create good memories.

My time with my children is one of those.  As they grow up in front of my eyes, I’m realizing the importance of defining moments. And as they are approaching their college years, the desire for these moments becomes even more evident.

Today, I find myself spending time with my daughter, Calysta.  She is auditioning for a certain school in New York (I was given instruction by Mom and daughter NOT to mention the college yet).  This season of inquiry for her is a perfect time to leverage by pouring into her Dad’s love and advice. It’s not a stressful time, rather it’s a great opportunity to be a part of her future. It’s in these moments that life is lived without regrets.

Beautiful 🙂 Time is something we never get back and so it should be used wisely, especially that spent with loved ones. A father/daughter relationship like this one is a wonderful example for all. Soak it up Pastor, God bless you guys 🙂

Yes, Pastor continue to cherish those moments with your children. I know Calysta will make it, she has grown to be a beautiful young lady with a wonderful gift. She worships God with her dancing. Calysta, congratulations, it has been done.

We most spend our time wisely, moments can happen when we decide to take advantage of the opportunity in front of us. We can get distracted by the business of life and forget to spend time with our love one. But we most find that time to make it into a great moment.

It is important to take advantage of these moments in life and I glad that you are able to do that with your daughter.
