My Little Girl in the Big Apple

I know I’ve taken a break from writing, but today I had to get behind the computer and  share my thoughts…

I’m currently in New Your City with Victoria and my daughter, Calysta.   We are presently in the process of living out an answer to prayer and the beginning stages of a prophetic word.   It’s been the dream and prayer of Calysta to dance and to study dance in New York City.  She’s had a dream to dance on Broadway and to travel with a Broadway company.

Earlier this year she auditioned for AMDA, a prestigious dance, acting and singing conservatory in the upper west side of Manhattan off of Broadway.  They audition about 3,500 possible students world-wide but only keep around 300.  Calysta was one of those 300 students and was also awarded a scholarship.  I couldn’t be more proud of her!

And now that we are finally here in New York, my heart feels like its being ripped out of my chest.  We’ve always been a very close family.  We do everything together, but now there will be an empty place at our table.   But in it all,  it brings comfort to me that she’s in God’s perfect will.  I know that God will give us the strength.

This past weekend she danced her heart out during placement auditions.  She did an incredible job!  Today is her first day of classes. We get to spend time with her today after her classes and then we leave tomorrow.

Oh boy… please prays for us!

May God give you strength pastor, we would ask for the rejoicing presence of The Holy Spirit in you life and the open hand of protection over Calyx, now in her new life as a college student.

I’m going to praying. God has a powerful plan for Calysta and this is just the first step to her new stage of her journal.

Pastor, I filled up with tears when I read this blog. I can somewhat
know a little of how you feel.

She will certainly be missed, but this is GOD,S plan. I think of how
much love and work she did to get to this point. Believe me, I know
it was through you, Pastor Victoria, grandparents and brothers who
were there who gave her so much love and support.

All your teaching and guidence of GOD’S love is in her and it is time
    for her light to shine.
