Sight & Clarity – A Must!

By nature I’m a risk-taker.  I’m not one to sit and let the “grass grow under my feet.”  Although this attitude has its benefits, it also has its downfalls.  Too many times I’ve taken shots in the dark.  I’ve wasted resources because of risks taken without proper clarity. I’m asking the Lord for a greater clarity of spiritual sight. I’m asking Him to reveal to me the personal adjustments that I need to apply in order to bring me to a greater capacity of clarity.

Clarity in direction is paramount.  Clarity in focus is imperative. And clarity without proper spiritual sight is impossible. Clarity absent of uncertainty is nonsense, for the clarity in which I speak of is not of natural sight but of faith.

This weekend I will share a bit about clarity and sight during our IMPACT INITIATIVE service.  God has given us three kinds of sight: hindsight, insight, and foresight. God has set us apart from the rest of creation; He’s given us the ability to look back, look in, and look ahead.  This is clarity at its optimum and thus, my prayer for 2011.  I refuse to walk blind.

What about you? What’s your take on the focus and direction of your life?

Well this year my major focus is to finish the race. Every year I write goals which are reachable, but I don’t follow thru. This year I want to accomplish the goals that I write and really set the foundation for the future. I pray that I tackle those little daily areas and become a risk taker who seeks God in every decision.

I never been a risk-taker due to fear. What I feel I am doing more and more lately is asking God for the Wisdom to make the right decisions whether it is risk-taking or not. I no longer want to miss opportunities due to not seeing clearly.

I don’t want to walk blind God has given us the ability to see, to have a vision. God doesn’t live in time but outside of time He knows from the beginning to the end and when He says something He is abide to the word He spoke. I know that been in God’s presence is the only way to have a vision, God knows everything I rather serve Him, than depend on me.

He is calling me to the streets but i was scared of rejection and maybe some ridicule ,but after what pastor Janet said, I DONT CARE ,its time to get aggressive !!!!!!!!!!!

Pastor and Leaders: My life for the past 60 odd years my life was consumed
mainly with hindsight and regret. This has all changed since I have attended
this church. Since then I have learned to look in and look forward. For with
IMPACT Church : Leaders and members have become my family and friends.
I have a much closer relationship with GOD my FATHER with the purpose to
grow in deeper love with HIM. For loving HIM means loving all people. Thank you all!! Bless you all!!

So true pator manny. I have found myself moving without asking god first and have done this so many time and have failed because I was following what I wanted not gods will for my life. I find that when study gods word and stay focus on him things work out better for me. Keep in mind I may not get what I was asking for but god works it out that I wasnt left without a resolution to the concern I had.
    Peace & Blessing
    Vanessa

Well I am not risk-taker but I try go out there and talk to people about the lord. we have to have clarity on everything we do if we don’t everything will be impossible.

If I don’t keep up with my clarity I won’t be one with the lord because I am not a risk taker.

I am not a risk taker, but exactly the opposite. This is not always a good thing because in “waiting on God” without truly seeking His direction you can end up walking around aimlessly and wasting a LOT of time and opportunities. I don’t see myself jumping into things quickly and head first, but like you Pastor, I don’t want to walk around blind. Clarity and direction is a must this year.

A few years ago I made financial decisions that I didnt have much clarity on that Ijust jumped into blindly that I am paying for now. With that hindsight, when making decisions now, I look back to my past failures and do my research before making that decision. One thing I also didn’t do was involve the Holy Spirit in my decisions, a serious no-no.
