Southern Saying… Spiritual Truth
We’ve just finished our second week of our Honorology message series. I must say, it’s been a powerful time thus far! I know I’ve mentioned it many times already, but more than likely, I’ll continue to declare it over and over again; honor has been the missing key to experiencing the presence, provision and power of God in our lives.
Growing up in the South has made me familiar with various phrases and terminology. One, in particular, was when a storm decided not to pass but lingered until it finished it process. In the South, we just said (with southern draw), “Looks like the rain done set in.” When that was said, we understood that is was going to rain most of the day, if not, all day and night. Once that statement was made, we knew that had no choice but to make the best of it. We found ways to enjoy a rainy day.
And that’s how I feel about our current message series…“Looks like it’s done set in!” We’ll be here a while… You might as well sit back and take it all in! Let it challenge you; let it change you!
Honor is one of the major keys to the Kingdom of God… Let’s hear, listen, learn, speak it and live it out!
Blog entry #59 – Let it Rain!
I am learning about Honor in a totally different way with this message series. I was with the Toddlers on Sunday and have to wait for the video online but am looking forward to seeing it. That it is challenging, YES, but it is much needed.
Well Pastor I know that we have to honor everything we do. I was with the children yesterday I can’t wait to see the video.
I was montioring yesturday and the week before I was visting family so I will be listening to the sermens on the website. I really want to learn more about it.
I think God loves honor so much that he will drop everything and come to anyone who honors Him. Jesus was surprise because of the faith of the centurion, so I think it applies the same now. God will always go to the people who show Him honor.
I plan to sit back and hold on for the ride! This Sunday I was
already challenged in one area and am working on needed change.
