This summer, we’ve been on a mission to build healthier community in our church.  And as a result, we’ve seen people connect and reconnect with God and God’s family.

We’re holding on strongly to Acts 2:42:

They devoted themselves to the apostles’ teaching and to fellowship, to the breaking of bread and to prayer.”

These are the four pillars of Christian worship.  I’ve been guilty of faithfully observing the first and last one but ignoring the two in the middle.  “Fellowship” and Breaking Bread” are essential to the life of a church.

These two pillars are misunderstood by most.  Contrary to popular belief, they’re not attending a church service and partaking of Holy Communion.  Fellowship and breaking bread is simply hanging out and having a good time around the table enjoying each other’s company.  Believe it or not, there is great spirituality in believers talking, laughing and sharing with each other all while eating chicken wings and biscuits! After all, that’s how Jesus trained his disciples!

So, with that said, join us this Sunday for FELLOWSHIP AND BREAKING BREAD after our time of worship.  Our Impact Olympic games continue!  Good Times!

Even though the weather was not being cooperative, I believe it was a successful event. People were able to fellowship. Good day.
