Surrender and Honor
What? Where? When? How? And then finally, in fourth place, – Who? If this was an Olympic competition “who” wouldn’t even make it on the medal stand! This is the usual order of priority we place the questions regarding our purpose and destiny.
Yesterday, during our mid-week Family Night Bible Study, I defined the “Greatest Place of Honor we can give to God.” And that place is the place of SURRENDER.
The focus should never be on the what, where, when, and how but on the “who.” The initial four are always inferior to the “who we are becoming.” We will NEVER know the what, where, when, and how until we know the “who we are becoming” in Christ.
It’s only through the approach of surrender that we allow the Lord to mold us and to fashion into His image. God is an artist and we are his workmanship (Eph. 2:10). His desire is to define us and to unveil us as a finished masterpiece (the WHO). And this masterpiece will accomplish “the good works” (what, where, when, and how) that we’ve been prepared and planned to do since the beginning of time!
I know this might sound a bit elementary, but it’s in the ignoring of simple truths that we complicate our lives. The place of SURRENDER is the greatest place of HONOR we give to God that allows us to recognize the “who we’re becoming.” When we submit ourselves under the hand of God in total surrender to his process, we position ourselves in a place of discovery as he unveils our true identity in Him. And once understood, the “what, where, when, and how” are easily recognized and realized.
Well Pastor that was a good teaching last night it is showing us that we need to surrender ourselves to him so we cn get his glory.so we need to honor the lord and he will bless you.
I want to give GOD the Greatest Place of Honor by Surrendering every aspect of my life to Him. God reveal to me my Identity in You.
We are beooming warriors of the word of God that we will be able to speak to people of the great works of him and what he is doing in our lives to help us get closer to him.
Salvation can be free, but reaching our full potential of purpose will take our whole life in every sense of the word. God’s calling in our life can only be fulfill when we give up our will for His. And it kinda sound tough but the cool thing is that when we give up our lives God fulfill it in a way that is so awesome and fulfill. God is the artist who is molding us and who wants to build an amazing master piece out of our lives.
