The Time is Now!
Impact Church is in the middle of a God Moment. I’m certain every congregation that operates under a Holy Spirit led vision will have God Moments.
In order for the Kingdom of God to have healthy forward progression, God will always challenge His people as individuals and congregations as a whole, to engage in a heaven appointed opportunity, aka, “God Moments.” These opportunities are God-sovereign points of transition and entrance into greater dimensions of kingdom effectiveness.
God Moments have many names that explain what they do, such as, revival, renewal, refreshing and awakening. All those names are properly applied, but I like to call them God Moments. They’re God Moments because it’s God that has brought us to a place of entrance into a greater dimension of Him and the purpose He’s called us to.
Recognizing God Moments is the greatest key to entering into them. The first generation Israelites were unable to do so at Kadesh Barnea (Numbers 13, Dueteronomy 1). Caleb and Joshua were able to… well you should know what happened. And the rest was history.
Recognizing a God Moment begins with understanding what they are…
- A God Moment is a God opportunity. We know them as kairos moments – a moment of opportunity within a certain time frame.
- A God Moment is Holy Spirit led desire to return to God’s original intention for normal Christianity.
- A God Moment is the manifest power of God lifting individuals and congregations to the proper standard of supreme life and righteousness.
- A God Moment is when God reveals His plan, purpose and intension for our lives and challenges us to take the risk.
- A God Moment is the opportunity to enter into a greater understanding and experience of God’s love, therefore causing us to understand our identity in Him.
So much more here….but this is only a blog. “Lord, I’m more hungry today to engage your God Moment! I know the time is now!”
Great word pastor Manny,
Just when you seem to be breaking through, challenges will seem to arise that will test the strength of your intentions. Do not give up at the first sign of difficulty, but push through until you get through. Be resolute in your faith and trust, and do your best to maintain your forward momentum. Instead of relying on other people, lean on Me, says the Lord. Matthew 11:30 “For My yoke is easy and My burden is light.”
