Transformers!
“But as many as did receive and welcome Him, He gave the authority to become the children of God, that is to believe in His name” (John 1:12)
My boys are intrigued with movie making. They all desire to either be in them or make them. We just finished filming a new movie titled Crime Scene. They’re getting better at this stuff! More on that later. Anyhow, after three days of filming, they decided to take about two hours to watch the making of the Transformer movies. They love how it all came together…
As I was watching this with them, I realized that God made the first Transformer – ADAM. He created man in such detail and ability to change that if he wanted to pull a woman out of his side, he could. It was out of Adam, that God transformed man into a marriage and from that marriage he transformed man into a race. God never had to reach in the ground again to create because of the transformation power he gave to us. We are transformers!
For the Christian, transformation at its optimum, is the working out of the internal. God placed certain things in us that have to come out. The blueprint for a complete transformation is already in us. We were designed to transform and become the very thing he purposed us to be. We transform out of our old selves and into our character, purpose and ministry. It’s there; we just have to believe that it is.
As believers in Christ, our Spiritual lives are significant to the Caterpillar – we have been through a metamorphosis, and continue to do so every day. We are in a continuous process of transformation. We seem to be out of the cocoon in some areas and sleeping away and eating in others.
When we received Christ and became born again, God ignited his power (exsousia – right and authority) to become what the Lord has designed us to be! Salvation as it relates to your destiny is the God-given power to become what God has eternally decreed you were before the foundations of the earth! Salvation is the epitome of GRACE. Grace is God’s divine enablement to accomplish and fulfill a predetermined purpose! 2 Corinthians. 12:9 says, “My Grace is sufficient for you” – In other words, his POWER is not intimidated by your problems – You are already wired to overcome! You are designed to transform and become what you were designed to be.
Briefly explain to me your process of transformation?
It started with an urgent question for God. By giving God the room to speak to me, a more intimate relationship developed. I got to see first hand that an experience with Him is very real, and that His Word is in fact His bond. By simply agreeing to step out His way and not sabotage the Holy Spirit’s work in me, the ‘I am” of me has revealed himself. That’s enough proof for me that the power of God is real, and now I cannot ignore it in my life.
Transformation continues, because He has reached the stage of revealing the deeper roots of sin in my life. He and I co-operating to sort it out. I am thankful for all the resources I have at my disposal in the process…human resources, financial resources, and of course the fortitude that comes from knowing who Christ Jesus is.
My process now involves the cutting away of things that don’t belong, and a renewing of my thinking- truly believing that I can do all things through God who gives me the strength. If I lay everything at his feet instead of trying to do it myself, I will be fully able to fulfill his purpose in my life and realize my dreams, but without Him it is all overwhelming and seems impossible.
I just want to continuously hear from God. The transformation for me has always been to leave the old and embrace the new. Take that step out of the box, place one foot in front of the other and keep moving. Peebles may try to poke out or cause a mis-step but you have to keep going. Don’t lose that pursuit. I’m learning to be in expectation for that new in everything.
Mine is pretty simple.. ” I decrease so He may increase”.. denying myself and picking up my cross daily. I’ve gone through the shedding, stripping and breaking process. I believe He is molding me, shaping me forming me, but like gold, in order for me to be molded I need to be in the fire where I can be shaped and refined. The biggest transformation process is the change of the mind. Your teachings have really challenged me and though I’m still changing I know its not momentary but a transformation leaving the old behind. Last but not least I’m learning to embrace Gods grace.
WOW! as I read this blog, all that came to my mind is how all of us
at IMPACT CHURCH are breaking out of our cocoons. Everyone in
their own way but we are all like butterflies so much and so many
sharing their treasures, talents gifts and their time. Some times
when I am at corporate prayer I see our leaders and member as so
many bright and colorful butterflies floating around in my mind. So
much of their beauty is Heaven sent and breathtaking.
The way I must transform is to study my bible more and to listen to his word and follow my purpose to fulfill my destiny.
Well Pastor for us to get tranformed we need to seek him more and read the word more and don’t let the world get in your way.
I believe my transformation is plain and simple. I am allowing God to be God and trusting no matter what my situation or circumstance is.
I pray that I don’t miss God as he continues to transform me. Transformation is difficult because every ounce of our flesh has to die and we have to surrender to God. May the holy spirit guide each of us to fulfill the God given purpose that is within us. Transform me oh God.
My transformation is taking me to a new season of my life. God is putting me in a place of leadership and authority. A place I never been before and is a hard process for me, but I most embrace this stage in my life and get advice from people who have been where I’m at now and obtain their wisdom and knowledge. Just as Luis said I most decrease so that He can increase in my life. And as I read my Bible, the people that were call by God were people of small beginning and ordinary background, but that through their obedience and love for God were able to leave an impact and their finger print on their generation. I most submit to the will of God and read His Word so that I can transform to the man that God wants me to be.
